The Art of Mucha
For this project, we were asked to create a small booklet based on a designer we admired-- our "Design Hero." I chose Alphonse Mucha as my hero because I deeply admire his work as both an illustrator and a designer, and because of his foundational work in creating Art Nouveau and graphic design as a field today.
The Art of Mucha dedicates itself to Alphonse Mucha, a renowned artist known for his commercial works during the late 1800s to early 1900s. His style is synonymous with the Art Nouveau style, a style which incorporates organic forms, decorative elements, and thin, "whip-lash" curves and lines.
